This charity was launched over 25 years ago to provide support to people in managing visible side-effect of their cancer treatment. The charity aims to greatly increase a patient’s confidence and self-esteem at a very low time in their lives.
This charity is very close to Professional Beauty Direct’s hearts as being insurance providers in the beauty industry for the last 20 years means that we have spoken to many therapists and trainers over the years about providing treatments to cancer patients and understand how hair and beauty treatments can benefit them greatly.
Look Good Feel Better is unlike many other cancer charities as it provides practical support to people living with cancer. This charity is a small but growing charity so please help Professional Beauty Direct to raise awareness and funds so Look Good Feel Better can achieve their mission to improve both the physical and emotional wellbeing of people living with cancer.

Independent national cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better provides a unique service to women, men and young adults undergoing treatment for any type of cancer right across the UK.
Established in the UK for 25 years, the charity was created to help combat the impact on appearance that can be experienced during cancer treatment. The support is provided through workshops, online video tutorials and advice booklets to meet the varying needs of those with cancer.
The workshops are led by trained volunteers including skincare and make-up artists and local barbers or groomers for men’s groups. The sessions provide advice on issues relating to skincare, shaving and make-up which often include colour correction, dry skin and loss of eyebrows and eyelashes. These are common concerns when going through treatment for both men and women. The advice given is practical and demonstrated using products donated by the charity’s corporate partners and teaches the skills and tips to counteract these concerns.
In addition to the practical support and learning, the group sessions provide a relaxed, fun and safe environment for shared experiences which can be beneficial as those undergoing treatment can find it easier to talk to others in a similar situation.
