If you trade as a limited company but are not a salon owner, please call us on 0345 605 8670 and we will help you find a policy to support your business.

You can go online to our website and look them up on our Accredited Providers page, or if you check the website of the trainer and they display our logo on there, then they have been accredited by us. If you do not see either of these, you need to ask your training school to make contact with us themselves so that we can check their Training standards, course content and teaching qualifications.

Unfortunately we cannot refund any policies that are over 14 days old, unless it is a Salon policy. Please see our full policy wording for cancellation charges and refunds for Salons.

Please call us directly as soon as you receive your renewal instructions and we will make sure the policy is not renewed.

If you have checked your inbox and junk email and the documents are not there, please either log in to your account in the existing customers tab of our website, or call us and we can resend them to you.

Many people don’t need their documents printed, so firstly, if you don’t need to, then just save them somewhere on your computer or as above, you can access them online at any point during the year. If you still need a printed copy of your certificate, you can call us and we’ll post one out to you. Please be aware that there are many documents and pages of information that support these policies and therefore for environmental reasons we try as much as we can to reduce the amount of paper we use within our business. We kindly ask if you do not need printed copies of all the documents, that you let us know when you call us.

If you log in to your policy at http://www.professionalbeautydirect.co.uk/my-policy/ using the details you set up when you purchased the policy, you can change the address there and a new certificate will be immediately available. If you aren’t able to do this, you can call the helpline or email us and we will make the change for you. If you are about to move Salon address/premises, please call us as we will have to provide you with a new quote and transfer your existing policy over when you move.

Please check your Junk Mail as sometimes your email provider will put it there. If it does, please add us to your contacts so that when your renewal details are sent out the following year, you don’t miss them. Alternatively, you can log in to the My Policy section of our website http://www.professionalbeautydirect.co.uk/my-policy/ using the details you selected when you purchased, and all your documents are held there for the whole year.

Yes, it is absolutely vital that you inform us if you have changed email address, as your renewal documents and notices will be sent to the email address we have on the system for you. You can do this by logging in to your policy account using the old email address at http://www.professionalbeautydirect.co.uk/my-policy/ using the details you set up when you purchased the policy, or by contacting us.

No, we do not hold your card details. They are only available to Worldpay, the payment service provider, and they will only use them when we instruct them to at renewal.

No, not at all. The future pay agreement is so that when your renewal is due the following year, if you are happy with your policy and wish to continue, we can instruct Worldpay to take the money again from the card that you used to pay for it, meaning that you don’t have to do anything at all to renew. The agreement says unlimited only because if you add any other additional extensions during the year, we would need to add the renewal value of those, to your existing policy amount and take payment for the total.

This is likely to be because you are viewing it on an ipad or an iphone which unfortunately aren’t compatible with this type of document. If you view it on any other device you will see the detail without a problem, and if you have a modern printer, your details should come out when you print.

The basic Professional Beauty/Nails/Hair policies don’t cover this automatically, however on Step 2 of the quote and buy process, you can add the property extension for an additional fee, and this will cover your stock and equipment up to the value of £5,000 and up to the value of £10,000. Unfortunately, there is no straight forward answer to this. We normally ask for a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in the areas that you are wishing to practice in, however for more advanced Beauty treatments, we would require an NVQ Level 3 or similar. If you are unsure whether you can be insured by us, please call to check.

The Professional Beauty/Nails/Hair policies are for self-employed individuals. However if you have employees there is an option to add cover for them but you need to call us on 0345 605 8670 for us to be able to provide you with a quotation, this is not available online.  

No, we only need to see these in the event of a claim.

Yes you can do this by logging onto your account at any point during the year, selecting the extra treatment cover you require, and paying the additional premium plus a small administration fee. You can also contact the helpline and we can add this on for you as well.

You should buy the individual Beauty policy as it includes all nail and hair treatments along with a wide range of beauty and holistic treatments.

The Professional Beauty/Nails/Hair Direct policies are designed for individual, self-employed therapists/technicians and insure you wherever you work in the UK, whether it is mobile, from your home, from clients homes etc.
