Newly Qualified Students

Congratulations on qualifying! Leaving your studies and going into the big wide world can be quite scary. Where do you start?! Do not worry as we are here to help!

The hair and beauty industry is becoming more and more popular than ever before. So how do you make yourself that one hairdresser or beauty therapist that people want to visit over everyone else? The key is to be organised and have every aspect covered.

Qualifications
Remember, your insurance will not cover you for treatments you are not qualified to carry out, so you must have the necessary qualifications for the treatments you are wanting to offer.

GDPR
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) means that you must protect the data your clients have given you and that you hold. Keep this in mind!

Pricing of the treatments you are offering
You can price the treatments you offer as you see fit taking many things into consideration such as offering a competitive price, a suitable price range for your target market as well as making a profit for yourself.

Marketing
Use your social media accounts to get the word out about your new business.

And last but not least... Insurance!
You will need insurance for Public, Treatment and Products liability which covers injury or damage to a client or their property/belongings. You may wish to add cover for your own equipment too.

Our mobile beauty insurance policies start at £52.50 (inclusive of insurance premium tax and admin fee) for standard beauty treatment cover for an entire year! That’s just over £1.00 a week and our nail and hair policies are even cheaper at £39.50 and £42.50 a year.
