With the wedding season in full swing, we can almost hear the fast tapping of all the Bride to Be’s fingers frantically saving hair inspiration pictures on Instagram. Each bride has their own way of planning their special day, some plan every single detail before they even have a ring, others plan as they go but regardless of what type of bride you are one fact remains true for all, wedding hairstyles are constantly changing making it a difficult decision. Do you wear it up, down, curly, or straight? Simple or a statement? Just like wedding dresses the options for wedding hairstyles are endless!
We would love to help take some of the stress away from your big day with some top tips on how to choose the perfect hairstyle for your wedding day.
All joking aside Instagram is one of the best places to look at for wedding hair inspiration, search the hashtags #weddinghairinspo or #weddinghair to be inundated with the most beautiful variety of styles. Pinterest is a Bride to Be’s best friend for all things wedding planning - here you will find a wealth of stunning pictures to scroll through for hours on end. Choose your favourites and create a wedding hairstyle inspiration board.
Make sure to book a pre wedding trial so you can talk through exactly what style you want and go to your trial prepared with your inspiration board and bring pictures of your dress and accessories, especially the headpiece if you are wearing one.
If you have styles that you naturally gravitate towards daily, this is often what you would feel most comfortable in, so try and start with this as a base for your style. You want to feel the best version of yourself not completely re-imagine your look. If you mostly wear your hair up every day, go for a classic up-do look. If you always let your hair out and usually prefer how you look with it down, go for a big bouncy blow out.
These are our three golden rules, research, prepare, but most of all be yourself.
