Employers Liability covers your legal liability to your employees arising out of injury or disease that they may sustain during their employment (including claimants’ costs and expenses). This includes costs and expenses in connection with prosecutions and appeals against convictions under health and safety legislation.

Business Interruption covers loss of gross earnings and increase in costs of working during the Business Interruption period following damage to property and insurance under the Buildings and Contents section. All insurance policies offer different cover but you may want to consider covering the following Business Interruption associated risks:

  • Loss arising from being unable to trade following the occurrence of an insured peril damaging the premises insured, such as a fire or flood.
  • loss arising from closure of the premises due to vermin, pests, defects in drains or defective sanitation is covered. 
  • loss arising from damage to property in the vicinity of the premises that hinders or prevents use or access to the salon.
  • loss following damage to septic tanks and underground services if insured under the buildings and contents section of the policy.
  • loss following damage at the following premises:
    • land based premises of gas, water and electricity suppliers
    • the premises of any of your suppliers
    • the premises of any of your customers

Buildings and Contents covers loss or damage to your salon in the event of damage caused by extreme weather, fire in the salon, water damage or if items in your home were damaged or stolen in a burglary.
