Winter Hair Routine

Do you change up your hair care routine during the winter months? Much like our skin, our hair needs more moisture during these colder months. The colder temperatures and central heating make the air a lot dryer which lifts the hair cuticle, letting moisture out more easily and leaving the hair dry and frizzy. So, what can you do to prevent this?

Changes when washing your hair
A lot of us need to think a little more about which shampoo and conditioner we need to use for our hair, not which one has the prettiest packaging! Using a moisturising shampoo and conditioner during winter will help to replenish hydration in the hair and prevent frizz.

Scrub your scalp
Exfoliating the scalp helps keep it balanced and nourished which also enables healthy hair growth. It helps to stimulate circulation, removes dead skin, and eliminates any stubborn product build-up.

Add a mask into your routine
A mask is a terrific way to target specific hair problems and its good practice to use one around once a week. For example, if your hair is dry and damaged, try a nourishing mask. If you have broken ends, switch between a nourishing mask and a protein bond builder.
