How to market your salon for Halloween

To ensure that you are well and truly prepared for fright night this year, we thought we would put together some Halloween marketing ideas for your salon. We hope that this would help you as salon owners maximise the opportunity that Halloween has to offer

1. Posters in the salon

You could decorate the salon with some suitable Halloween posters, or change up the posters that you have for a more Halloween-y vibe! The clients will appreciate these small changes and it will come at a minimal cost to you.

2. Social media competition

Ask your clients to post photos of their Halloween costumes and/or make up looks and tag you in the Facebook/Twitter/Instagram post for you to decide who could win a potential free treatment or some retail products. It may even be an idea to introduce a hashtag for your salon to build more engagement on your profile.

3. Loyalty card scheme

If your salon has loyalty cards, this could be a great time to offer up some bonus points for treatments carried out on Halloween weekend to encourage more clients to book. If you do not currently have them, why not introduce them over Halloween weekend as a ‘treat’.

4. Dress up in the salon

While the current pandemic requires staff to wear a certain level of PPE, you could have a little fun with it and change up your regular mask to a more Halloween themed one.

5. Social media

Use this holiday to promote your business! Hashtag as much as you can and get some spooky content out there to catch potential new and existing client’s attention!
